DAY 1 — ORIENTATION
A New Beginning
Evening practice. Presence before progress.
Section: Beginning
If you’re walking this road too—welcome.
Hey — Kent here.
Today marks a new beginning.
Years ago, I was introduced to the idea of choosing a single platform and publishing daily. The principle stuck with me—not because it promised growth or reach, but because it demanded consistency and presence.
Over the years, I’ve started many platforms. Some lasted days. Some weeks. My longest stretch reached around sixty-five days. You can still find the first sixty-plus posts from one of those seasons archived at lowtolifted.substack.com, written toward the end of 2024.
Each attempt taught me something. Mostly this: starting is easy. Continuing is the work.
This time, I’m simplifying.
One place.
One practice.
One daily offering.
No grand declarations. No pressure to perform. Just showing up, sharing what I’m learning, and letting the work compound over time.
This new beginning isn’t about publishing.
It’s about presence.
And presence compounds.
So—let’s do this.
If you’re new here—or returning—I’ve updated the About page to reflect the direction and discipline of this work moving forward.
Day one. We begin where we are.
This post begins a daily sequence.
Tomorrow, we continue with Day 2 — Molding.
